The Jonas Brothers are back! The trio dropped their new single and accompanying video for “Sucker” at midnight—leaving fans burning up with excitement.
Obviously, it’s exciting to see Nick, Joe, and Kevin back at it, but all that really matters here is the fact that Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner, and Danielle Jonas star in this video and FULLY DOMINATE IT.
The song is an ode to being so head over heels for someone you’ll do anything for. With lyrics like “I’m a sucker for you / Say the word and I’ll go anywhere blindly / Any road you take you to know that you’ll find me” and “You’re making the typical me / Break my typical rules,” the brothers are putting their love for their partners on display. Chopra and Nick Jonas got married last year; Sofie Turner and Joe are engaged, and Danielle and Kevin have been married since 2009.
The music video is quite eccentric, featuring colourful, lavish scenes of the three couples together on a huge estate as the brothers sing about being “suckers” for the women.
The brothers – Joe, 29, Kevin, 31, and Nick, 26, – teased their reunion in a Carpool Karaoke spot for The Late Late Show with James Corden. “It’s nice to be able to finally tell somebody,” Nick said in a promo for the segment. “We’ve kept this a secret now for almost seven or eight months. This is basically our first performance back.” Sucker will be the first release from the trio since June 2013’s First Time.
Coming to the track itself, it’s cheery with euphonious but catchy beats in the backdrop. The vocals are good but nothing special.
But wait, who has the time to focus on the melody when the video itself is so captivating and extravagant!
