ISLAMABAD – Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts to de-escalate tensions with India.
During a joint press conference with Foreign Minister ShahMehmood Qureshi, FM Jean Asselborn said that Luxembourg has concerns over escalating tensions between the neighbouring countries.
He said that Luxembourg wants stability and peace in the region.
The minister also praised Pakistan’s role in the ongoing Afghan peace talks.
Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the European Union is Pakistan’s key economic partner.
Earlier today, Foreign Minister Asselborn called on his counterpart Qureshi at the Foreign Office in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted.

Both the leaders discussed regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest, as well as the peace and security situation in the region.
They agreed to boost enhance bilateral cooperation in multiple spheres.
Luxembourg FM is in Pakistan to promote bilateral trade between the two countries.
