ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan to explain his position over a plea about the misuse of party funds.
The ECP on Wednesday issued notices to Imran and PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen on the petition brought by Akbar S Babar, one of the founding members of PTI.
The petition had been filed last year. The ECP has issued notices to both the parties for February 23. Either the PTI leadership can appear in person, or send their counsel for defence.
The PTI has denied the allegations.
