KARACHI – Unidentified miscreants have killed two people, including a police official, while injured another two on Saturday night in Karachi.
According to details, the shooting took place in Defence Housing Authority Phase 6 area of the city.
The deceased police constable, identified as Khalid, posted at the Darakhsha police station, was returning home after duty when he was shot dead. The other deceased was a passerby identified as Ramzan.
The police stated that two drunk suspects ran away leaving their vehicle behind after opening fire. A pedestrian, named Saeed Ahmed, was also wounded in the firing incident.
The authorities recovered four bullet shells and rounds of 9mm pistol from the crime site. The officials have gathered evidences and stared investigation.
The police authorities have also traced the owner of the vehicle with the help of its registration number, and raids were conducted at the owner’s house.
The police has claimed to arrest a suspect, involved in the firing incident, has been arrested who was already a wanted criminal for another murder committed in 2018.
The eyewitnesses reported that one attacker had a weapon in his hands while the other was directing him.
