ISLAMABAD (APP) – Minister for National Food Security and Research Skindar Hayat Khan Bosan says the government has done legislation to further bolster the agriculture sector.
Addressing a seminar in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the passage of the new seed Act will ensure availability of quality seed to farmers.
It will also provide excellent opportunity for foreign seed companies to invest in this sector.
He appreciated the US monetary and technical assistance in the cotton sector saying it will help develop virus resistant varieties of cotton.
