2 suspects involved in Shuja Khanzada murder held in Faislabad

FAISALABAD – 12 suspected militants including two involved in slain Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada murder case have been arrested in Faisalabad.

According to Geo News, secret agencies arrested the militants in search operation. The arrested militants reportedly belong to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

Most wanted terrorists Matiur Rehman is also likely to be involved in the attack. Rehman is wanted for the attempted assassination of former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in 2003.

He was also wanted for attacks on former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and suicide bombing on Sheraton Hotel in Karachi and carried Rs10 million head money.

Meanwhile, police and intelligence agencies have started interrogating local residents as part of the probe. Rawalpindi Division’s Attock District holds 181, the most number of suspects in the country.
