ISLAMABAD (Online) – The Ministry of Interior has been considering the transfer of IG Islamabad Police Tahir Alam Khan due to security concerns and rising numbers of crimes in the capital.
DIG Sultan Azam Temuri has expedited efforts to get the position as he is having support of more than three officers in the ministry. According to sources, transfer of IG Islamabad is expected in next three days.
Sources told Online that DIG Temuri started visiting the ministry when it considered transfer of Inspector General of Police (IGP) due to poor performance.
On the other side, the incumbent IGP is looking for references to save his seat. His close aides advised him to improve law and order situation by overcoming crimes in the city as it will give him edge keeping the top slot.
Despite several efforts, Tahir Alam could not be reached for comments.
