Helpline 1819: Drive against food adulteration in Islamabad continues

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Food Control Committee conducted raids at different hotels and bakers in different areas of Islamabad on Saturday.

United Bakers in Super Market was sealed due to unhygienic conditions. Capt Cook Restaurant in Jinnah Super Market was also sealed on similar grounds.

Another restaurant called Atrio in Jinnah Super Market was fined fifty thousand rupees.

Munchies food in Super Market was fined thirty thousand rupees for unsatisfactory cleanliness.

China Town Restaurant in F-8 was also fined twenty thousand rupees. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has warned raids would be conducted again to check standard of food being served by different hotels and bakers.

He said a Helpline 1819 has been established where citizens can lodge complaints about adulteration and unhygienic conditions.
