Gayle hits 1st ever World Cup 200

CANBERRA, Australia (Web Desk/APP) – West Indies opener Chris Gayle posted the highest ever individual score at a World Cup when he went past 188 during a Pool B match against Zimbabwe at Canberra’s Manuka Oval on Tuesday.

His six off spinner Sean Williams in the 45th over saw him surpass the previous individual World Cup best of 188 not out by South Africa’s Gary Kirsten against the United Arab Emirates at Rawalpindi in 1996.
