Boat row: India removes Coast Guard officer over controversial statement

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – India removed the coast guard officer, B.K. Loshali, who prompted a new exchange of harsh words across the border through his controversial statement about ‘terror boat’ on the eve of New Year.
Loshali who was working as Chief of the staff in Indian Coastal Guards will now face a departmental inquiry over his statement.
Defence ministry declared his unconditional analogy over the statement unsatisfactory and summoned him for immediate inquiry into the matter.
Earlier the coastal guard officer had stated “ you remember the Pakistani boat that crossed the borderline on 31st December, we blew it up”.
Pakistan had strongly reacted after the statement demanding international community to push india over the incident.
