Ahmed Shehzad injured again

BRISBANE (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s key opener Ahmed Shehzad has reportedly suffered ankle injury during World Cup practice session in Australia, local media reported.

The injury of right-handed batsman comes two days before the Green Shirts’ clash with Zimbabwe.

According to sources, Shehzad suffered left foot ankle injury at a practice session on Thursday and was not able to carry on his practice due to swelling.

Sources say the injury puts in doubt Shehzad’s inclusion in match against Zimbabwe on Sunday, adding that Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to replace Shehzad who was advised rest.

Two weeks back, Shehzad slightly hurt his arm during a practice session in Adelaide city of Australia ahead of Pakistan match with India. He, however, did not escape the match and played against the arch rivals.
