KARACHI (Web Desk) – The city administration Friday suspended cellular phone services in different areas of Karachi as part of security measures for Muharram processions and majalis.
The cellular networks were switched off at around 1pm in Federal B. Area, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sadar, Soldier Bazaar, Old City area, Garden and other areas.
Officials said the service will resume this evening.
The mobile service will also remain suspended on Ashura (tomorrow) in most of the cities from dawn to dusk.
