WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that democracy is strengthening while terrorism is eliminating in Pakistan.
Addressing a ceremony at US Institute of Peace on Friday, he said that Pakistan’s institutions are working for international peace. “America is Pakistan’s old friend.”
The prime minister said that Pakistan’s economy was heading towards restoration. “Action is being taken against terrorism under a comprehensive strategy,” he added.
Nawaz Sharif said that the media is free and activated, while the judiciary is free in Pakistan. “The government has brought terrorists and their facilitators to justice.”
He said that poverty had reduced due to government’s economic policies.
