LG Polls: Tight security arrangements in Punjab, Sindh

LAHORE/LARKANA (Web Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the law enforcement agencies to ensure strict implementation of security plan during the polls.

He directed senior officers to personally remain present in the field, Radio Pakistan reported.

Shahbaz Sharif ordered indiscriminate action against those candidates or their companions who would be involved in aerial firing on their success in elections.

Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah says the provincial government has taken all measures to ensure peaceful atmosphere for free, fair and transparent elections.

He was talking to Radio Pakistan Hyderabad correspondent Noor Hussain Chand.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has established two control rooms each in Larkaqna and Sukkur divisions.
