ISLAMABAD (Online) – The 138th birth anniversary of philosopher poet and the conceiver of idea of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal will be celebrated on Monday.
Various literary, educational, political, social and cultural organizations have chalked special programmes to pay homage to the national poet.
Pakistan Academy of Letters Islamabad is organising a function in connection with Iqbal Day. Renowned poets, literary persons and intellectuals will participate in the function.
Dr Muhammad Iqbal was a man of great many ideas – sublime and serene, dynamic and romantic, provocative and profound. He was both a great poet and a serious thinker at the same time but in his poetic works lies enshrined most of his thoughts.
During his poetic career, spanning some four decades, Iqbal had imbibed, approved, applauded and commended a great many ideas – which occupy various positions along the spectrum at three different levels, the philosophic, social and political.
