Army Chief says Pakistan s nukes are in safe hands

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef has said that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power and the protection of its assets is sacred duty.

During a visit to the Nuclear Security Center of Excellence in Planning Division, Rawalpindi, General Shareef also stated that further steps had been taken to ensure greater stability in security.

The Army Chief commented that the offer for the utilization of the Center of Excellence has been presented to the international community as well.

General Shareef also viewed a demonstration on the updated and sophisticated training being provided at the Center during his visit.

Expressing his confidence on the country’s nuclear security, General Shareef lauded the professional practices being employed for the protection of Pakistan’s strategic assets.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) General Shareef was welcomed by Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Mazhar Jameel upon his arrival at the Center of Excellence.
