WASHINGTON (APP) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Tuesday that Iran is bent on subjugating and terrorizing the Middle East, and through its nuclear program threatens the entire world.
“Iran’s founding document promises the pursuit of jihad, and states are collapsing across the Middle East,” Netanyahu declared, in a rousing speech to a joint meeting of the US Congress.
Netanyahu thanked the United States and President Barack Obama for aiding Israel, and warning of the threat that Iran poses to Israel’s survival.
Netanyahu defended his controversial speech to Congress. He said he regretted that it was being perceived as political.
The Israeli PM, said he appreciated the American aid, including military assistance to build the Iron Dome missile defense system.
