ISLAMABAD (APP) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday approved the revised Assistance Package for Government employees, who die in service.
The package will be effective from February 9, 2015.
According to statement, the package include several benefits for the heirs of deceased employees and for those officers and officials incapacitated or as a result of injury in encounters, bomb blasts, riots, watch and ward duty or terrorist activity.
The package has three hundred percent increase over the package of 2006.
In case of death of employee during service, a lump sum grant of six hundred thousand rupees will be given from scale number one to four, nine hundred thousand from scale 5 to 10, twelve hundred thousand rupees from scale 11 to 15, fifteen hundred thousand rupees from scale 16 to 17, twenty-four hundred thousand from scale 18 to 19 and thirty hundred thousand rupees from scale 20 and above.
