the southern province of Pakistan.
Zehri was nominated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday after consultation with allies and in the light of the Murree declaration among the three coalition partners – PML-N, the ruling National Party (NP) and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).
The prime minister said Balochistan is close to his heart and expressed hope that Sanaullha Zehri will ensure peace and security in the province. He assured the federal government will extend full support to Zehri in developing Balochistan.
“Senior leaders of all three collation parties have signed the agreement and I am sure Dr Malik will support me as the next chief minister as we extended our complete support to him,” Sanaullah Zehri had told media last week.
