ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones, who recently signed with Islamabad United franchise of Pakistan Super League (PSL), was deported to Australia after he arrived in Islamabad without Pakistani visa on Sunday morning.
According to Federal Investigation Agency and Immigration officials, the cricketer carried no travel documents hence he was not allowed to come out of the Benazir International Airport.
Jones was deported to Australia by a flight this noon, the officials confirmed.
Islamabad United is one of the five franchises of country’s first T20 tournament Pakistan Super League (PSL) that is scheduled in February 2016.
