Hotline between Pak, Afghan DGMOs established

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and Afghanistan have established a hotline between Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both the countries.

According to Director General of ISPR Lt. Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa, the decision of establishing hotline was taken during Pakistan’s army chief General Raheel Sharif’s recent visit to Kabul.

He said that the DGMOs of both the countries held the first contact on hotline and discussed military to military issues and measures to enhance coordination along the border.

The DGMOs also discussed modalities and dates of meetings between corps commanders of both the countries, Bajwa added.
