Police fail to arrest co-accused politicians in Dr Asim case

KARACHI (Staff Report) – The police officials Friday informed an anti-terrorism court that none of the co-accused could be arrested in Dr Asim Hussain case.

On the hearing Dr Asim Hussain was produced in the court amid high security.

According to police they were taking measurements to arrested all suspects in the case however few of them including MQM’s Abdul Rauf Siddiqui were on pre-arrest bail.

At which the ATC once again issued arrest warrants for Abdul Qadir Patel, Anis Qaimkhani, Abdul Rauf Siddiqui and Waseem Akhter.

The court adjourned the hearing till January 19.

Senior PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain has been accused of sheltering and treating terrorists in his hospital. An FIR was registered against him along with four others on the request of Sindh Rangers.
