Endless dialogue behind lack of breakthrough on Kashmir: Geelani

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – The Kashmir dispute must be resolved through dialogue between India and Pakistan, Hurriyat Conference chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani said on Tuesday, blaming endless rounds of talks for lack of breakthrough.

Geelani’s remarks come after last week’s talks between the foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India.

The Hurriyat Conference chief was talking to media following a meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit at his New Delhi residence.

The talks were resumed when Indian Foreign Secretary Jaishankar met with his Pakistan counterpart Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhury in Islamabad on March 3.
