NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – A suspicious balloon was reportedly seen near Delhi International Airport on Wednesday.
Delhi Police is investigating complaints of a “suspicious” balloon, NDTV reported.
Earlier today, two flights from Delhi to Kathmandu were delayed after a phone call warned of bombs on the planes belonging to Air India and Jet Airways.
Yesterday, an Air Force fighter jet was used to intercept and shoot down a balloon in Barmer in Rajasthan.
Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said the helium balloon came from across the Pakistan border but was not equipped with any surveillance devices or contentious material.
