NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Renowned Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s concert in Mumbai which was scheduled to be held on January 29 has been cancelled.
According to media reports the event was being organized by director/producer Suhaib Ilyas, who has used Ghulam Ali’s song for his upcoming movie ‘India’s Most Wanted’.
Ghulam Ali was to release his album ‘Ghar Wapsi’. Ruling coalition partner in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena demanded Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to cancel the event. Sena has also criticised Narendra Modi’s policy on Pakistan, calling him responsible for cross-border terror attacks.
The last Ghulam Ali event in Mumbai was scheduled on October 10. But the organizers had to pull back at the last moment after receiving threats from Shiv Sena.
