BKU attack mastermind Umar Mansoor injured in US drone attack in Afghanistan

KABUL (Staff Report) – Key Taliban leader Mullah Umar Mansoor, who claimed responsibility of planning and facilitating an attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda on January 20 this year, has been injured when a US drone targeted him in Afghanistan’s Nangarhaar province.

According to Afghan media, the drone attack took place on Monday night. Mansoor’s son Hameed was killed along with other Taliban militants in the drone strike.

Mullah Umar Mansoor, also known as Naray Kay, heads Tariq group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He believed to be master mind of BKU terrorist attack that killed 21 people and left dozens others severely wounded.
