Fixit campaigner Alamgir Khan released on bail

KARACHI (Staff Report) – A local Karachi court Friday ordered police to release #FixIt campaigner Alamgir Khan and his driver, Saifullah, on bail against the surety bonds of Rs5,000 each.

The police official presented Alamgir Khan and Saifullah before judicial magistrate south and informed the magistrate that accused had interfered in government’s affairs.

Meanwhile the Alamgir’s lawyer argued that crime was bailable and court should grant bail to his clients.

The magistrate accepted the plea and granted bails to two accused against two surety bonds of Rs5,000.

Earlier on Thursday, police arrested Social media campaigner and the man behind the ‘FixIt’ campaign Alamgir Khan when he drove a tractor loaded with waste to dump the garbage outside Sindh CM House.

An First Information Report (FIR) was also registered against Alamgir Khan and his driver Saifullah under section 341 of Pakistan penal Code (PPC).
