Uber is finally coming to Pakistan

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Uber, the United States based on-demand taxi service which is quite now popular worldwide, is finally coming to Pakistan to revolutionise the domestic transport system.

Website Pro Pakistani said while quoting unnamed sources that Uber is going announce its operations in Pakistan within few coming days. The service aims to target the cheap rickshaw service of Pakistan in first phase although it is expected to face tough competition from other services such as A-Taxi and Creamers.

The report said that Uber will also offer cash payment facility for those not carrying credit or debit cards while for pickups it will use its globally known smartphone application.

As far as the fare is concerned Uber will definitely be expensive than rickshaws but relatively cheaper then other taxi services. The sources claimed that Uber service will initially charge Rs15 per kilometre as compared to A-Taxi which charges Rs 35 per kilometre after a basic rate of Rs100 and Rs120 respectively.

The taxi service will also introduce driving classes for those interested to work with the company as drivers. Handsome salaries and commissions will be paid to workers on the basis their work and at-job behaviour which will be determined by the feedback of users.
