PM Nawaz to pay special attention to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the government will ensure provision of equal facilities in urban and rural areas in federal capital.

During a meeting with newly elected mayor of Islamabad, Sheikh Ansar Aziz, the prime minister hoped that the local government members will make strenuous efforts for the development of rural and urban areas of Pakistan’s capital.

“The government will extend full cooperation in connection with uplift projects in Islamabad,” PM Nawaz told Mr Aziz on Tuesday.

“There is need to pay special attention to the development of Islamabad being federal capital,” the PM said, adding that the beauty of Islamabad was affected in the past due to lack of attention by the successive governments.

Mr Sharif said the government will place special focus on beautification of Islamabad besides ensuring provision of all amenities to citizens.
