President Mamnoon Hussain leaves for Jakarta to attend OIC summit

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – President Mamnoon Hussain Sunday left for Jakarta to represent Pakistan at the fifth Extraordinary Summit of Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Shareef.

The two-day summit commencing from Sunday under the theme ‘United for Just Solution’ comes against the backdrop of unprecedented Israeli violations in the occupied city of Al-Quds, the West Bank and of the unjust blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Indonesia Mohammad Aqil Nadeem told APP that Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid will participate in the ministerial-level meeting of the OIC, the outcome which will be forwarded to the leaders of the OIC member states tomorrow.

He said the holding of the summit is significant in making the world realized that Muslim counties are interested in finding the genuine and sustainable solution to the Palestine issue.

Some forty-nine countries of OIC would participate in the two-day Summit.
