QUETTA (APP) – Home Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has said Frontier Corps carried out 417 targeted operations in different areas of the province during last four months, killing 92 terrorists including their top commanders.
He along with spokesman for the Balochistan government, Anwar Ul Haque Kakar, Deputy Inspector General, FC Balochistan, Brig. Tahir Mehmood and other officials was addressing a press conference.
He said that FC during its operations arrested 1,844 suspects and recovered 820 weapons, 56,986 ammunition and 10,727 kg explosives, adding that 6,151 others persons were also arrested who could not produce their traveling documents to them.
He said that FC also seized narcotics worth billions of rupees.
He said that during FC operation in Turbat on December 23, 2015, eight militants belonging to banned militant organizations-Baloch Liberation Army and Baloch Republican Army were killed and two FC personnel were martyred.
He said that several commanders and other militants belonging to banned militant organizations were killed during FC operations.
“The spy agencies of enemy countries of Pakistan have been funding and providing training to militants in Balochistan,” he said.
