Indian terrorist Kirpal Singh dies at Kot Lakhpat Jail

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Kirpal Singh, Indian death row prisoner, was died at the Kot Lakhpat Jail.

According to jail officials, Kirpal was transferred to the hospital on Monday after his health suddenly deteriorated, jail officials said. He expired at the hospital.

His body has been sent to the police for postmortem.

Singh, 55, was jailed in 1993 on the charges of section 302 of PPC and 7-ATA, jail superintendent Asad Waraich told The Nation, adding that the prisoner had no cardiac history.

He felt pain in his chest and on Monday and was rushed to Jinnah Hospital but he could not survive.

Kirpal Singh was involved in terrorist attack on a train running between Lahore Sargodha in 1991 and was awarded death sentence by the court.
