ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Acting Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has ruled out any decision about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s letter to the Supreme Court regarding formation of a judicial commission on Panama papers.
“Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali would decide about the commission on his return from Turkey,” the acting CJP told the media on Saturday.
Justice Nisar, however, refused to make any comment on Panama leaks.
The oath was administered by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa in a simple but dignified ceremony in the Supreme Court, Islamabad, where judges and senior lawyers were present.
Justice Saqib Nisar will serve as Acting Chief Justice till 1 May.
