Transport officer having assets worth Rs 800 crore arrested in India

ANDHRA PRADESH (Web Desk) – An Indian Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a Deputy Transport Commissioner and discovered assets worth Rs800 crore in his possession on Saturday.

According to Indian media, authorities continued their raids on the houses of A Mohan in nine places across Karnataka Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

ACB has found 350 crore worth of property papers, gold and silver from his Kakinada home alone.

Indian media reported that he owns several plots and large agricultural lands, acquired illegally.

Mr Mohan was produced before the Court. The document value of his properties is Rs 100 crore to Rs 120 crore. ACB officials said that several bank lockers were yet to be opened and searched.

According to ACB, 12 lockers were yet to be opened and many of the documents and lockers were in Hyderabad and would be counted in the process of investigation.

Officials felt that to convert black money into white, he had floated eight companies in the name of his elder daughter.
