Samaa TV given show-cause notice for airing Qandeel Baloch s immoral comments

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has issued a show-cause notice to Samaa TV for airing Qandeel Baloch’s “immoral” remarks about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The news channels has been directed to avoid broadcasting such controversial and disgraceful interviews. The channel’s representative has been ordered to explain the matter before authority by May 17.

The notice said that airing such content exhibits irresponsible behaviour the TV channel’s administration. The TV channel is also not following the delayed transmission technique, the notice noted.

The self styled social media sensation, Qandeel Baloch, had Sunday (May 1) arrived in Lahore to attend Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s political rally at the Mall road.

Talking to newsmen, she said that she loved Imran Khan and traveled from Karachi to Lahore for participation in PTI’s political gathering.

“I will try to meet Imran Khan and definitely propose him” , she said when asked if she was in Lahore to propose PTI chairman.

Commenting about her excitement towards PTI’s rally in Lahore she also sang a famous Bollywood song.

Few weeks ago, Qandeel Baloch also posted a steamy video on her Facebook page, expressing her love for the Indian cricketer. Besides only audible sound of water, the video features Baloch saying, “Virat Kohli, I love you baby.”

She posted a series of videos. In one of the videos, she said, “Come join me” with a hashtag #jacuzzitime.
