NAB to prosecute former Sindh MPA Shafqat Shah Shirazi for land-grabbing, embezzlement

KARACHI (Staff Report) – The executive board of the National Accountability Bureau will meet today (Saturday) to approve prosecution of former Sindh MPA Shafqat Shah Shirazi.

Sources in NAB told Daily Pakistan that Shirazi was involved in the embezzlement of public funds and land grabbing while a probe has been completed in this regard. After the approval of Executive Board, a case will be registered against the former MPA, sources added.

Shafqat Shah Sherazi, who hails from Thatta, Sindh, quit Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in May 2013 and joined the ruling party, PML-N.

Moreover, it is also expected that NAB officials will approve the closure of an inquiry against the former FBR member Israr Rauf.
