PRAGUE (Web Desk) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif arrived in Czech Republic on a day-long visit aimed at boosting ties between the two countries on Wednesday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief was presented with a guard of honor on arrival.
Director General ISPR Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the COAS met many high ranking officials including the Czech Chief of General Staff and the deputy defense minister, during the visit.
They discussed issues of mutual interest including military and defense cooperation.
Czech army officials also expressed interest in getting their officers trained by the Pakistan Army.
The Czech Republic appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army in the war on terror.
