Countrywide protests against Indian brutality in Kashmir

LAHORE (Staff Report) – To protest against the atrocities being committed in Indian-occupied Kashmir rallies held across the country on Friday.

People in large numbers attended the rallies, urging international community to take notice of callous use of force in Indian-held Kashmir.

Pakistan People’s Party staged protest outside Peshawar Press Club to mark solidarity with Kashmiris.

JUI also staged rallies in Nushki and Sadiqabad and raised slogans against ruthless use of force in occupied Kashmir.

JI amir Sirajul Haq had announced an ‘Azadi March’ from Lahore to Wagah Border will be held on July 31 against the barbaric acts of Indian forces in the disputed territory.

At least 40 Kashmiris have embraced martyrdom so far as Indian army unleashed lethal force to suppress demonstrations. Kashmiris had taken to streets following extra judicial killing of Burhan Wani, a freedom fighter.

Wani was shot dead along with two other fighters by occupied forces and police in Bundoora village on Friday, 85km south of Srinagar, prompting mass mourning across the valley.
