PM congratulates Misbah-ul-Haq for becoming oldest Test centurion

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Friday congratulated Misbah-ul-Haq, captain of Pakistan Test Cricket Team, on becoming the oldest Test centurion at 42, at England’s famous Lord’s cricket ground.

“This is a moment of rejoice and the entire nation is proud of his remarkable achievement,” the Prime Minister said in a statement.

He also congratulated Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah for taking five wickets in the Test match against England and said that his performance was a source of inspiration for emerging young players of the country and deserved immense appreciation.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan cricket players had time and again proven that they were the best players capable of performing extraordinarily in domestic as well as international cricket.

“Undoubtedly, the future of Pakistani cricket is bright due to our players’ illustrious performance,” he added.
