8 police commandos killed in blast in India

PATNA (Web Desk) – At least eight cobra commandos of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were downed and several others injured in Intensive Explosive Device (IED) blast in Gaya, Bihar on Monday.

According to Press Trust of India (PTI), the death toll is likely to spring up as several security officials were also injured in what they called a Naxal attack.

The incident took place near the border of Imamganj and Aurangabad district on Monday evening when CRPF officials along with cobra commandos were returning back from a mission.

The attack took place near the Naxal affected region of Gaya.

The CRPF officials are yet lodged in the jungle as due to bad weather rescue officials are unable to get to the place.

Those who were severely injured had been transmitted to the government hospital in Patna.

As per news reports, three Maoists were also killed in this encounter.
