ISLAMABAD – One of the long-standing criticisms of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has been that the party revolves around Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family, with even senior cabinet members of the party behaving like ‘darbaris’ (courtier or ‘sycophants’) around the party chairman and his family.
Recently, during a meeting held at the residence of Raja Farooq Haider Khan in Muzaffarabad, chaired by PM Nawaz Sharif himself, Saad Rafique was seen greeting PM Nawaz Sharif in a hilarious manner.
The action soon excited laughter on laughter and was ridiculed as an action of ‘sycophancy’.
