SHIKARPUR – A man allegedly killed his younger sister for ‘honor’ in the Mohammad Saleh Jaffery village within the limits of Naperkot police station in Shikarpur district.
Abdul Razzak Khoso reportedly shot dead Amna on Monday night after accusing her of having ‘illicit’ relations with a man. .
The body of the murdered girl was brought to Khanpur District Hospital for postmortem and was later handed over to the victim’s mother.
Hospital sources confirmed to DawnNews that the girl had died of several bullet wounds after being shot by a pistol at close range.
“My daughter has been subject to barbarism,” the elderly mother told local journalists.
The victim’s mother said her son killed his sister after falsely accusing her of ‘kari’. She demanded exemplary punishment for her son.
The Naparkot police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of Station House Officer (SHO) Zahid Hussain Abro.
“Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused, who is currently at large,” the SHO said.
Earlier on Monday, the mother of an infant was allegedly killed by her father-in-law near Matli town of Badin district.
