Petrol price likely to go down by Rs4.50/litre from September

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The price of petroleum is likely to be reduced by Rs4.50 per litre from next month.

The prices of High Speed Diesel (HSD), Light Diesel Oil (LDO), High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) and kerosene oil will be lessened in accordance with the international market.

According to the proposed summary by Oil and gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) High-Speed Diesel will g down by Rs. 3.46 per litre.

An increase of Rs.2.80 per litre has been suggested in the price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO).

The summary recommended an increase of  Rs4.50 per litre in price of high octane blending component (HOBC). Kerosine oil can go down by Rs3 per litre.

The final approval would be given by the federal government after considerations. Insiders are of the view that the Finance Ministry is considering an increase in petroleum levy and General Sales Tax (GST) due to which the public might not get the relief.
