Google plans first-ever visit to Pakistani universities

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Search giant Google is making its maiden visit to Pakistani universities in a bid to inspire students for designing and developing content for the website.

Google team would be paying a visit to Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi on August 30 followed by universities in Lahore, Islamabad, Topi and Gujrat.

The tour will conclude on 9th September after visiting the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore. During the 11-day trip, Google will visit nine universities across the country.

Google’s tour is part of its initiative to encourage small developers, designers and bloggers and also help them earn more money from apps and websites. The event will introduce them Google’s monetisation products that include Google AdSense and Google AdMob.

Notable speakers are part of the Google team visiting Pakistan including Waqas Burey Manager (Web), Strategic Online Partnerships and Ahmad Nawaz Manager (Apps), Strategic Online Partnerships.
