KARACHI (Staff Report) – District Municipal Corporation Central on Monday issued a notification regarding the renaming of Mukka Chowk as Shaheed-i-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk.
“The roundabout/junction, connecting Blocks 7, 8 and 9, Azizabad, Federal B Area, Karachi, known as Mukka Chowk, is named as Shaheed-i-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk, with immediate effect,” a notification issued by the city’s District Municipal Corporation read.
The move comes days after posters related to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder affixed at the roundabout were removed following MQM founder s anti-Pakistan statements which caused outrage across the country.
