KABUL (Web Desk) – The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has said that fifteen civilians were shot down and thirteen injured in a US drone strike in the Achin district of Nangarhar province on Wednesday.
UNAMA has also called for independent investigation into the tragic incident.
According to witnesses, people had gathered in a village to welcome a local elder on his return from Hajj and were sleeping when the strike happened.
