Kashmiri leader Asiya Andrabi arrested over raising voice against Indian brutality

SRI NAGAR (Web Desk) – Indian forces on Tuesday arrested Dukhtaran-e-Millat leader Asiya Andarabi on the charges of inciting violence.

According to reports she was arrested from Krale Khud area of Srinagar along with her close associate, Fehmeeda Sofi.

According to media reports, clashes have erupted in the several places including Saloora area of Gandarbal in Central Kashmir after her arrest. There are unconfirmed reports that she might be shifted to New Delhi.

She is fighting for freedom and separation of Kashmir from India. Her husband, Qasim Faktoo, is currently serving a life-term in Srinagar. Her supporters have called her the Iron Lady of Kashmir.
