MUMBAI – The only biggest Indian artist in Hollywood right now, Priyanka Chopra has caught up in a controversy after she tweeted a picture of herself on the cover of Condé Nast Traveller magazine.
The t-shirt in the cover photo is a simple, white t-shirt, and its message has just four stand-alone words, arranged one below the other in the following order: Refugee, immigrant, outsider, traveller. The words ‘Refugee’, ‘Immigrant’ and ‘Outsider’ are crossed out in red while the word ‘Traveller’ isn’t.

The message on t-shirt can be perceived in different ways and has many interpretations but some twitter users have accused Priyanka of belittling the plight of refugees and immigrants by showing them as less than a luxurious traveller. Here are some of the angry tweets directed towards her:
