Daesh terrorist gunned down in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI – An alleged Daesh terrorist has been gunned down, while his accomplice fled the scene during a search operation Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Rawalpindi.

On a tip-off, The CTD personnel raided a hideout in Rawalpindi early Friday morning where the terrorists started firing and hurling hand grenades at the raiding party, leaving two CTD personnel injured. The injured personnel were rushed to the local hospital for medical treatment.

The CTD retaliated and gunned down a terrorist, while his accomplice fled the scene. The deceased was identified as Ahsan Satti, while his accomplice who fled was identified as Imran Satti.

The CTD claimed to have recovered LED, rifles, pistols and cartridges.

The CTD said that the terrorists wanted to carry out terrorist activities at several places in Rawalpindi division.
