Funeral prayer in absentia offered for victims of plane crash

ISLAMABAD – The funeral prayers of air crash victims was offered in absentia at the lawn of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital in Islamabad on Thursday.

A number of people from various segments of life attended the prayers.

Forty-seven persons, including five crew members, perished as a passenger plane of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flying from Chitral to Islamabad crashed near a small village called Saddha Batolni in Havelian, Abbottabad Wednesday evening.
